I am in N. Central FL, and I was bit/stung? by this ant last year while walking to my pack yard. The pain was horrific. It got my toe and the pain was shooting through my foot up to my ankle and the only thing that helped was and ice pack. It was a throbbing and sharpness. The ice pack numbed...if I took the ice pack off it was brutal!
Needless to say, I watch the ground wherever I walk in FL, now!
