Looking for red Four O'Clock seeds

Buffalo, MN(Zone 4a)

Not too long ago, there was a thread on this forum that listed some sources for red Four O'Clock seeds. I thought I had saved it, but if I did, I can't find it now . . .I did a search but came up empty. Does anyone remember this thread?
Thanks!

Deb,

i even did a search and could not find a link ... but -- i may be able to scrounge a few seeds.

my neighbor bought a packet at WallyWorld .... it was a mixed packet, and we/she happened to get reds.

I can go out tomorrow and see if i can locate which plant is red and grab a few seeds.

we did it earlier [a month or so ago] but DH gave away all the seeds.

I'll let you know if i find any.

Thanks. Therese! I know that post was here somewhere . . .I hate it when that happens! I did a google search for "red four o'clocks" and found a few sources-one sounded good, Dianes' Seeds http://www.dianeseeds.com/mirabilis.html but the red ones are out of stock. (I couldn't find the company in the Garden Watchdog I guess I don't need them until spring, so I have lots of time to find some.

Hey, I did find Diane's Seeds in the garden watchdog . . . under Diane's Flower Seeds, and they have a good rating.

I bought red 4 oclock tubers from Brent and Beckys Bulbs this year. They were on sale so I dont know if they are out of them until next year but the tubers were really big.

Diane of Diane's seeds said that she would have some in a few weeks . . .

Did you ever get some seeds? I just pulled some off my Red Four O Clock's today.

Akk, is red the most nectarforiciferous of all four oclocks?

I have some red to trade if you don't find any.

LOL, Please, someone, why red? I haven't grown these since I was a kid back in Virginia.

I know where there's a white one that's doing well, but it had no fragrance.

I should have nabbed the very fragrant red one that I saw neglected in a public place, but the hurricane got it.

Do butterflies prefer Red? (they must!)

I have tons of Fuschia. Are you looking for a true red or is the Fuschia OK. I have a truckload!

I was just given some yellow 4 0'clocks seed. Haven't planted them yet. We're getting a cold spell here in Florida and the house is already full w/ orchids, lipstick and episcia (sp?). And will have to bring in some Datura seedlings and cover a whole lot of stuff at night. So figured I'd wait till spring to plant these...(if they will hold that long? umm, will they?)

Diane's Seeds now has Red Four O'clock seeds for sale. I bought a pack Saturday, November 15th! She's a reliable seller, ships fast, and her seeds are very good quality. When I enquired about the 4 O'Clocks a couple weeks ago, she emailed that she was waiting for the seeds to dry and check germination before offering the 4 O'clocks for sale. I'm a repeat buyer and I highly recommend her product. You can find her website through the Garden Watchdog, or use the link listed above in DMurray407's reply.
