First Dark-eyed Junco Sighting!

I saw a Darkeyed Junco this morning while out on my walk this morning...I could not believe my eyes!!

Last year we didn't have them in the yard until November.

Wow Nanny...love the pics of that sweet little bird. I can't wait for them to show up here, even though it means colder weather. I just love these birds!!

Yes, usually I notice dark-eyed juncos in my yard by November.

It'll be nice to have them again soon, as well as the white-throated sparrows. They provide much-needed consolation as the temperatures plummet and the days grow darker.

I finally saw one yesterday...it landed in the Persimmon tree amongst the beautiful ripe fruit...I missed a great pic...grrr...!
