Here's the chicks claire was asking about i removed thier mother the other day hens have a tendency to become tired of their chicks when they get older and pick at them.

They are almost 5 weeks now i'm terrified they will get the pox i had set the hen before the outbreak.

Oh Harmony - they are just darlings. The new ones are so cute and fluffy and tiny. The older ones are starting to have proper chicken looks. They are sort of at what I call the "awkward stage" when they don't quite look like chicks and they don't quite look like chickens. I have a silkie there right now who is just looking awful. Yours look better because they are smooth feathered. My silkie looks like she's been in a clothes dryer! I just love that light blue color - they're all gonna be beautiful!
