Brugs and deer

Starkville, MS

Am I wrong in thinking that brugs are poisonous to deer? Evidently, I am wrong as I have just discovered leaves missing that could have been taken only by deer. In all my years of growing them this is the first time that I have seen this. Has anyone else had this experience?

I've never had deer eat my brugs, but I remember when Gretchen Kauffman grew them by the hundreds and had her driveway lined with them...the deer had a feast on her brugs. It would be devastating.

Deer are ruminants and so are goats. Our goats loved brug leaves and were never bothered by eating them. Also, the milk was not affected as I drank gallons.I may have to re-think the "no more goats" decision. We also have plenty of deer in the forest across the road.So far the brugs havn't been bothered. Can't say the same for the vegetable garden.
