Finally my blooming season has begun. Things are starting a bit earlier this year because I had a good caretaker taking care of the garden this summer so everything was ready for heavy fertilizing when I returned this fall. Usually i don't get any blooms until the end of Nov but I aready have blooms on Rosalie,Mem,Pink Charm,Double Peach,Isabella,Lemon Meringue and a couple of others. I hope this proves to be a banner year for me with blooms. Anyway this is Rosalie. For hot climates you really can't beat this one. She thrives in the heat. She has lush green leaves and beautiful waxy flowers that do well even on some of the hottest days (provided that you keep the blooms out of direct sun). I do grow her in full sun and when she blooms I move her to a more shaded area. Anyway this is Rosalie......
My blooming season begins - Rosalie
Wow so beautiful....James
Your Rosalie is just stunning; it’s so nice to hear that somewhere it is the beginning of the blooming season. Hope you will continue to post pix, it will help those of us up north from having withdrawal symptoms.
Gary, I see you have a wonderful cross started on this one. I have to ask though, do you need any Goldenes Kornett pollen for anything? If you'd like some, I've been running late with getting my pollens and such out, but I'm off on Monday so I can send you some if you would like. Just give me a holler. I know you will do great things with it providing your interested in working with another pure aurea. Let me know. I have a few batches of pollen going out to some of the members in here already. I also have a smidgen of Lisa pollen as well.

Eric, the name is Gary but yeah Rosalie is a very heavy bloomer and with my season just beginning extra pollen like goldness kornett would be great if it makes it here to the states. I had pollen confiscated that I sent to Australia so I am always leery of sending or having things sent from overseas. I also have tiny buds on my Rothkirch so the goldness kornett pollen would be good for that as well. Usually I don't even try to pollinate before late November when it begins to cool off but I had extra fresh pollen (plucked straight from other blooms) that I could not resist as least trying to pollinate these blooms.
She is beautiful. Things here are just getting going finally as well, now that it is cooling off more at night. That must be the trigger lol.
You will have a small batch of Goldenes pollen in a few days. I will try to send some more later, but don't count on it. Make this pollen stretch and I will see what I can do. No worries.
I'll make it stretch for sure. I won't even use it until my weather cools off a bit. The chances of getting a pod to set in this heat are very slim, but since I had some fresh pollens I figured i would just go ahead and give it a shot with what I had available. Thanks Eric.
Eric,
If you want to try Rosalie pollen for goldness kornett i could try to send some your way.

'Rosalie' is certainly one of the best Aureas.I think of it as 'Butterfly' on steroids.
Butterfly on steroids is a good analogy. For the first time this year I have blooms on butterfly so I can relate.
Yes I agree I have blooms on Butterfly as well which I just got at an RU It is still blooming.
