A stray cat showed up at our door the end of September...she finally let me pick her up on 9/22 and I thought, hmmm, could she be pregnant? Well, apparently she had been - she brought me two tiny kittens on October 1...long story short, one of the kittens developed a *goopy* eye last night. Tried to get a vet appt. today but no luck so far. Researched a bit on the internet and wondering if Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment would be a good treatment in lieu of the vet. These cats will be barn cats as our 17 year old dog can't take the stress of indoor cats. Anyway, anyone have any suggestions for me while I wait for a vet appointment? If it's herpes, I don't want the other kitten to get it. The photo below was taken 10/01 - any ideas about the age of the kittens? Thanks in advance for your advice
