I have been fertilizing all my brugs faithfully each week. I have some in the ground, some in pots and intend to place the ones in pots in the greenhouse during low temps. Do I keep fertilizing through the winter months?
do I stop fertilization for the winter months
If you cam keep them outside all winter then you can feed. I would however cut back a bit.
I would say yes if you plan to keep them growing in the greenhouse. Just don't do as much, as stated above. If you let them go dormant, don't feed.
I ease mine into not as much fertilizer, but I'm like Louise, frozen tundra till April or so. I keep them growing under lights in the basement and I don't feed near as often as in the growing season and only 1/4 -1/2 strength.
I would follow AuntB's advice. She has a brug forest and has for years!
Thank you so much for all your input. I will definitely cut back.
