Here is my question, if I take a cutting of a branch below the Y and root it, will the growth above the Y continue to bloom in the future. Hope that makes sense. I have some rather tall branches that have Yed and I was thinking I could make a standard that has already Yed.
Boy now I'm confusing myself lol.

Cuttings below the Y information please
Linda, if I understand you correctly... you are making a cut and it will have a long stem/trunk with the "y"d part at the top.. .then rooting the long, Y'd cutting, and planting... Yes, as long as the cutting doesn't wither or dry out at the top and lose the Y it will bloom... Hope I understood..
Aunt B,
Thank you so much for the good news!. I'm excited to try this. I have several long, not so straight trunks I want to shorten somewhat and root. Worth a try.
Thanks again for the response.
