If you want to raise a standard, I'll have some cuttings.

Sunset Beach, NC(Zone 8a)

I can only offer these long cuttings to more localized folks since they'll have to come pick them up. I'll have some Dr Suess and some Maya that will be at least 4 ft. long. I'll also have a couple of peachy/pinks with NOID. I won't be cutting till right before our first freeze. When's that? Maybe amonth or so and I hope not before. If interested just dmail me.

You should post in Carolina gardening or something like that.

Sunset Beach, NC(Zone 8a)

Yes, I did that also. One person responded, but I just thought I'd post it here too just in case someone from my area checks this forum.

Thanks!

Oh, good. I didn't look there. I'm not usually on the brugs forum, but since I just started growing them, I thought I'd check out some threads.

The po has really long boxes like you would ship a map in. The postage by weight is really cheap and it is 2 day mail. Would that work?

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I use those boxes all the time, they are the same ones nurseries use to send large plants, they are one price regardless of the weight.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

They have a flat rate triangular box at the PO now?!?!? Where have I been? THOSE I could use...definitely!!!

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

hmmm...I checked their website and see the priority mail triangular boxes but no flat rate triangular boxes. It's either really, really new item or someone got confused w/ their terms. Flat rate triangulars would be so handy!

should you decide to mail cuttings, I would be interested in Maya. But I fully understand wanting to keep this simple and limiting to local pickups.

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

I think you have to order those box online. There is no cost for the priority boxes and the mailman bring them straight to your house. I know I've gotten some plants in those priority shoes box from the PO and I was asking about them the other day and was told that I had to order them online. They come in a pack of 10.

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes they do I have them I ship plants and cuttings in them. They bring the boxes right to my house..............James

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Yes, I've been ordering boxes online for the last couple of years....I love it!!

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeah same here chantell

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I did not need that many so went to the post office and got mine.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

As I remember they are not flat rate but I mailed bird of paradise all over the place for little of nothing. I packed the plant like normal, washed off the dirt and wrapped in wet paper towels and plastic and sent on their way.
They are long and skinny and worked great.
Just an idea for anyone who hasn't used them.

Humble, TX(Zone 9a)

Barbara, If you decide to do the mailing ,,I would love to have some cuttings. I will gladly pay whatever you ask. I also understand if you choose not to do that though.
