German import, hybridizer Anita Schauman.
Single blooms of golden yellow that brightens up any garden spot. Adapted well to our southern climate. Very heavy bloomer.
Marbach
That is a beautiful color. Anything heat resistant is definitely a plus! Does it hold its buds horizontally or is that just the photo? Great job :)
beautiful
Lovely color and look at those twangers!
Angel, just the photo.
Thanks everyone. I'm a fan of double white brugs but this is a beautiful, bright yellow. Fits in perfect with the fall landscape.
Fall landscape, uh huh... ;)
It's beautiful! Very cheery looking!
Lol AuntB it is still warm here, but fall decorations are definitantly in the works :)
Thanks Teresa! I agree Marbech does have a cheery look.

Teresa, how are your brugs? I remember last year when we were waiting on your first blooms, isn't that right? So fun, even if you've grown brugs a long time, it's still exciting for me, anyway.. I don't get around much on DG, but I'm happy to see you. Dollie, I like it's wide skirt, too!
Yes, AuntB, that was my very first seedling bloom. It was Miss Caylie x Genevieve and it turned out really ugly. I over-wintered it and the blooms this year were shredded and weird, but 2 of them turned out really nice! LOL! I don't think I'll keep it any longer.
Aw, sorry it wasn't a keeper for you. I keep saying I'm not going to winter this or that over again, but I always do.
Beautiful..the color is lovely!
I really love that colour. It's bold yet subtle at the same time. It's unusual! ♥
Thanks everyone......If I ever get the hang of pollinating I want to use Marbach. I keep trying, still no seed pods. Brenda (Theraglady), may have to send her grand-daughter south after all, to give me lessons :)
Burgele, are you Christa? Those blooms are gorgeous!!
I'm not real fond of single yellow brugs, but Marbach is so bold & bright it's hard not to love this one. He appears to have a slight mix of orange & touches of gold in his coloring.
Yes Dollie, it's me. You know my passions are not the singles either, but Monika sought it was important to get us some good dark yellow brugs , that are not ever plagued by SB for hybridizing to the US, she is a fabulous bloomer resisting heat and bugs.
Christa, Monika is always so thoughtful & caring about getting those special brugs to us in the states. I'm very pleased with Marbach's bloom production & adapting so well to our hot climate. Looking forward to the crosses this one will produce.
I have another single dark yellow from Monika that just recently bloomed. Will post tonight. On my way to work.
