72 hour flea pill

Good Morning!

We have two dogs that we use Frontline Plus for flea control. Their last application was September 16 and the fleas are back already. Ugh.

I stopped at the vet this morning to get another application but asked if it was safe to give it to them yet. She said no, not until October 8.

She said they now have a pill but it only works for 72 hours. My question is, have any of you ever used it? I did buy it but haven't applied it yet.

Our dogs are inside almost all of the time but we do walk for an hour every morning and of course all their potty walks thoroughout the day and evening. We are very heavily wooded here. We deal with ticks in the spring and it seems the fleas go nuts this time of year as the nights are cool but not cold enough to kill the fleas and I'm betting when we go for our walks they hit their warm bodies pretty quick.

At this point, I'm ready for a first frost :-)

Thanks for any information you may have on the 72 hour pill!
