I'm getting ready to plant my RoS cutting but I've found tiny beige looking things on the bottoms of the leaves (I first found them on my RoS seed plantings). It seems like I saw somewhere on here that those are some sort of bugs or eggs of bugs. Will they kill my plant or is there something I can do?
Sand looking things on my RoS cuttings
If they are soft, it sounds like they might be aphids; they come in all colors. And yes, they can kill your seedlings and cuttings but they are easy to wash off with a gentle spray of water. You will have to do this every day or so to get all the subsequent generations that emerge. Eventually they will be clean.
If they are hard they are probably eggs of another insect and not knowing what I was dealing with, I would toss all those seedlings and cuttings and start fresh with new seed starter mix and and seeds or cuttings.
