CLOSED: CLOSED: Don't want to throw out Empress Trees

Keystone Heights, FL(Zone 8b)

I know there is some controversy about Empress Trees. I don't believe that they are invasive in this part of Florida, nor am I sure at this point that they'll even thrive and bloom in this part of Florida. However, the story is our neighbor (whose property is our front yard, so to speak) had his longleafs cut last fall, mangling our woods in the process. He didn't bother to clean up any of the debris and the sight just breaks my heart every time I see it. I wanted to find something fast growing to plant along the fence line to cover the mess and replace the loss. I ordered Empress Trees. Well, right after I planted them, we had a drought that lasted ten weeks. I got tired of carrying water and ended put them back into pots (coincidentally) the day before the drought ended. Between the the four I planted in the yard, the ones I gave away, and the ones that died, I have five left. I can't see planting anymore in the yard when there are so many other trees and shrubs that I'd like to have. I'm also reluctant to plant elsewhere on the property and have to tote water again or throw them away. So, if anyone would like to swap for one of these trees and if they are not invasive in your area, please let me know.
