Has anyone had experience with a water wall?

San Antonio, TX

I have a leak in my water walls (not the pond) and would appreciate any advice. It is made of flagstone over existing brick and has been reinforced, replastered and sealed - still leaks when running. Some splash out but loses a foot in a couple of hours so that's a great deal more. It's supposed to dribble & drip, not pour like a waterfall. Since starting all this (I wouldn't do it again) I've pretty much lost what few plants I had. I'm enclosing a picture if I can.

For those kind folks whe weighed in on my worms - I'm just not going to worry about them. I guess it's just part of you're going to have mud and water plants. At least that's my rationalization. Also, since my little (non leaking) pond is doing O.K. - please tell me what I can put in it and where do I get them? Do I have to wait until spring to get any new plants? So, here goes.

Here's another. Haven't figured out how to post several at once. Thanks.
Oh, that's a plastic water lily I found at Lowe's yesterday and couldn't resist - I'm trying to attract a frog or two.
