Great day today, aqua this morning, then the 3 Muskateers (Tommy, Floozy and Bitsi) and I went out to do some more weeding in the iris bed..what a mess there. I am digging up some white ones and freecycling most of them to make room for some I bought here in a co-op. I dont know why that dang Bermuda grass loves to get into a bed that is so hard to get it out of....like irises, or monkey grass..almost have to dig everything up and start fresh. I would hope each year that it will be the last year I have to do that but nope.....here I am again, digging out grass. This time before the "Ike" rain, I put down a bunch of Preen..hopefully that will stop the seeds from germinating anyway..(at least most of them) I will do another dose later on before we get another rain so I wont have to water it in.
The cats were good, course Tommy hit the roof almost immediately but I saw him and went to the front of the house where I got out the hose and sprayed him..he ran to the back and by the time I went around back, he was down on the ground again and stayed in the back for the rest of the time we were out. I just cant understand what the interest is for him to be out front..must be a guy thing..the girls are more than happy staying in the back yard.
My DD will be having exploratory surgery on Thursday. She had a complete hysterectomy hmmm....last year or the year before and has been having a lot of back and stomach pain lately so they are going in to see whats going on. The CAT scan didnt show anything. Yanno, on one hand you hope there is nothing, yet you also have to hope they find something that is causing it..and are able to fix it.
Bonnie, I sure hope I will be able to make it to Katy. Its really not that far (4 hour drive). I have only been to Houston 1 time since I moved here. I'm sure it will be a lot of fun to chat face to face with some that we visit with daily online.
