Begging for water lily seeds!

San Gerardo de Rivas, Costa Rica(Zone 12b)

Yes, I am humbly begging for some water lily seeds. I know at this time of the year, many people have flowers which have produced seeds and should have bent over and are hiding under the leaves or maybe on the bottom of the pond. I will take anything whatsover, but mostly tropicals and miniatures because of my location and pond size. I purchased a pkg. of mixed tropical water lilies from Chiltern Seeds in England but only 2 have germinated so far. I might just being impatient, but I would like to try some more.

Now for what I have to trade in return, lol! I have a Trade List here, but there aren't any water plants on my list yet. I have to update it and will be adding seeds of "tropicals", both white and blue ones. I have a few water hyacinths, but they are new and haven't flowered yet. I should have seeds after they flower. I'll try to find a photo or 2 of the white and blue water lilies I have seeds of and add them here. Please note, the flowers are large and held well above the foliage. They spread a lot too, so are definitely not suitable for a small water garden!

Thanks so much to any kind, generous, water lilie lovers who like to share, lol!

Here is the blue one!

Forgot to mention, I'd kill for lotus seeds too!

This is the best pic I could get of the white one.

This has been a terrible year in my area for lily seeds. Last year I had a lot and nowhere to put them and this year I have someone who wants some and no seeds. I do have two different purplish tropical lilies that are unknown. Never do bother with remembering the names. I will check to see if any have seeds and would be glad to share if so. Will look around for lotus seeds. I do not have lotus but I think I know of a pond that does.

I have a few yellow lotus seeds lying around that I'd be willing to send off to you. Would you mind sending back some coffee seeds in exchange though? I've always wanted to grow my own coffee :)

Hi again tetley, lol! Thanks so much for trying to get me a few lotus seeds. What would you like in return?

Ailos, yellow lotus sound wonderful! I can definitely send you some very fresh coffee seeds. They are just beginning to ripen here now, so they don't get any fresher than that. I can go pick some for you tomorrow. They start out looking just like dark red cherries, but inside there is a bean with 2 seeds inside.

I suggest that anyone who can trade with me, send me a private D-mail. That way we can exchange addresses. I don't use the Address Exchange, so make my trades via D-mails.

Thanks so much!

Have not had any luck finding lily seeds from my pond. It has just been to cold and rainy this year for the tropical lilies to be happy. Will keep looking though.
