I received this in the mail and thought that I needed to share it with all the animal lovers. Feel free to change the pet to cat, dog, or whatever you want, as long as the following is appropriate for your pet. Change whatever you want but remember that you are making a pledge of commitment to your beloved pet.
While I am not promoting Purina and don’t even feed Purina Puppy Chow to my puppy. I received this from Purina –mypuppy.ca. I found the site very interesting and informative when my miracle-puppy finally made his way to my home and my heart.
My Puppy Pledge
I Elaine, aka Procrastinator, pledge to shower you with love. I promise to take you for walks, even when I don’t want to go outside. To provide a warm shelter for you to sleep in, even if it’s not my own bed. And never to leave you alone, wondering where I am for too long. I pledge to clean the burrs out of your ears when you chase after a cat, or squirrel, or a windy leaf. And to give you a treat when you come back as soon as I call. I will always keep your water bowl full. And make sure you are well fed. And I’ll greet you back when you greet me at the door. I pledge to take care of you when you get sick. Even when I am sick. Most of all, I pledge to love and care for you, rub your belly whenever you roll over, and to make sure that everyone in the world knows that you are the cutest puppy in the world.
