Received in trade

Fair Grove, MO(Zone 6b)

I received a dried up something in a trade. The brown paper sack said Gloxina. Should I pitch this or put it in water to see what it is? I couldn't tell if it was a leaf or a tuber or what. The person I got it from got it in a trade.

it should be a bulb or tuber, clean it off & see what it is, if it's a tuber then plant it.

Yep, Gloxinia tuber ... definitely plant it. I have a Florist Gloxinia that dies down every now and then but after a few months, it re-sprouts, grows and blooms! So, don't throw it away, definitely plant it and eventually you will have a beautiful full and flowering plant!
