Received Unidentified Hoya, need help

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I received these two hoya starts without names. You guys are so good at this, I was hoping you might be able to give me the ID of both of them. I read some here every day, but have a long way to go to actually be able to participate with knowledge. Thanks for your help.

That's the variegated hoya bella! Love that one!

Hi Brugie. I believe you have Hoya lanceolata ssp bella 'Louis Bois'. It's a beauty, for sure.

Thanks, both of you. I have to ask a stupid question....do I just call the top one "Variegated Hoya Bella" or does it have more to it's name? Thanks again.

Brugie,

Aren't those both the same? It doesn't seem like you 2 different hoyas in that picture.

Very nice coloring...I wish I was able to keep a bella without killing it!

I would agree with Barb on the official name, but then again we could both be wrong!

I just thought they were different cultivars because one had red veins and the other didn't. I put them both in the same pot, so if they are the same, I'll have a fuller pot faster. LOL!

You guys are good. I was looking around tonight and found a site that said that this one often has center veins of red. I'm glad I put them both in the same pot.

Thanks so much for your help. You saved me a lot of searching. I really appreciate it.

Shirley
