Does anyone have the H. tsangii that David Liddle sells (the one with yellow blooms)?
I have been trying to figure out if H. tsangii and DS-70 are actually NOT the same. I read that odetteae and tsangii are actually one in the same, and I'm wondering if that's true. I thought that the EA hoya falsely sold as "bilobata" is actually DS-70 (not tsangii). Anyone know?
Thanks,
Gabi
H. tsangii?
Chris from the MSN forum is offering a copy of her file on DS-70 to anyone that is
interested. They just have to request it from her. She says that it contains everything
she knows about H. DS-70...

Tsangii is the officially the one that used to be called "odetteae", and the old "tsangii" now reverts to H. sp. DS-70.
It is a weird thing: Christine Burton meant to name DS-70 "tsangii", but she named the wrong holotype herbarium sheet, which actually is material of the old "odetteae", so the name tsangii goes to the small creamy-yellow colored flowered plant.
Thanks Mark. That's great info. Do you mind if I put that info on GW? People on there were inquiring about it.

Go right ahead, Gabi. Feel free to take the pics as well.
Great! I'll of course give you credit :)

Gabi, Thanks so much for asking about this and Mark, Thanks so much for your answer and the bloom photo's! I have also been very confused with which was the tsangii!
Both of my EA plants ds-70 and brevialata were labeled as Hoya tsangii. I put no trust in EA plant labels. I have found so many of their house plants mislabeled I can't even begin to count!
