This one got rave reviews when I took it into work this week! Use your favorite pie crust recipe for the shell. I used:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup liquid Vegetable oil
1/4 cup milk
Mix well. Roll out between sheets of wax paper. Take top layer of wax paper off. Place pie pan upside down on the rolled out pie crust. Put a hand under the bottom layer of wax paper, then flip the pan and pie crust over. Peel off the wax paper and shape the crust any way you want it.
Filling
1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
1/3 cup Packed Brown Sugar
3 Tablespoons Flour
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
6 large tart apples, cored and sliced
2 tablespoons Butter
Combine sugars, flour and cinnamon. Add sliced apples and put in pie shell. Dart with butter.
Topping:
1 cup Flour
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon.
1 stick of butter, softened enough to make it easy to work with.
Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in Butter until crumbly. Scatter over apples.
400 degrees 30 minutes.
