Maybe I should have started off with this:

Just a reminder about the Texas A&M Floriculture Greenhouse Plant Sale Wednesday and Thursday, October 1 and 2. Sale will also be on Friday, October 3rd.
For sale will be Begonias, Coleus, Cacti, Euphorbias, Bromeliads, African Violets and lots of other great plants. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of seeing you this year at our Plant Sale! The cross streets are Lamar and Nagle in the center of campus. You can look at aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu and there is a locator section that will show the location of the Floriculture Greenhouse at Texas A&M. There are two parking garages in very close proximity to the greenhouse. If you have any questions you can contact Sharon Banister at (979) 845-8553.

The A&M plant sale sounds fab. Wouldn't it be great to just travel from one event to another, then another...anybody do this?

I stopped by the SFA plant sale and got a look, see and wow, they've outdone themselves this year. There are lots of trees and and this is the time to plant those, as you know.

Look for the white puffy dog and you'll see me Saturday. Wave hello!

I'll be thinkin of both of ya I would come but I don't get paid til next week ...would love to experience both sales ...someday

East of Nacogdoches, TX(Zone 8a)

We'll be looking for you another time, Mibus. You seem to be busy these days anyway! Take care and have a fab ETRU.

rose, I'll be there and be looking for you and the white puffy dog. I will probably have on a White Oak Roughneck T-shirt and be pulling my new red garden cart. I had to retire the old one, the axel was coming lose and I didn't think I could run fast enough with it. We always go eat Mexican food after the sale and would love to have you join us if you don't think it would be too hot for the white puffy dog in the car.

See you there,
Pam

It will be fun to see you, catlady. I've been told I'm likely to work the credit card table and will be working through lunch. Lunch is provided for volunteers, we eat inbetween sales. I really appreciate the invite, though.

And it's a really good idea to bring your own wagon. If you plan to check out a wagon to use at the sale, you may have to wait till a wagon's returned. That can hang up your shopping. The way to work around that is to pile your plants out of the way while shopping and waiting for a wagon. Problem with that is, people may take plants from your pile when it's not attended.

Don't tell anyone, but my dog goes everywhere with me, including out to lunch with the ladies today. He gets in his large purse style carrier and doesn't move about or utter a peep.

Pictured is one fine cat.

I enjoyed seeing you, catlady, at the plant sale. Amazing how I felt like we were real friends after meeting somewhat briefly once before.

We planted 6 possum haw hollies today. We were supposed to get a good rain but only got 1/10". Planting the other plants tomorrow. I love the fall planting season.
