I'm thinking of getting Turkeys and wonder if they harm gar

dens. I know they're great for bugs, but recall a friend who got geese to weed his strawberries and found they liked strawberries, too.

They can wipe out a garden in minutes! If they don't eat the stuff, they step on it, if they don't step on it, they tear it up when they dust bathe. Mine won't get into the garden till after frost.

Geese are best for crops early on well before fruiting out.

You should get some turkeys to tear up the garden in the fall. Fence them in otherwise.

Muscovy Ducks seem the least destructive, followed by Old English Game Bantam chickens.
