Did I miss a prior message? I am confused. What are the symptoms of the problem?

Have you tried dusting them with food grade diatomacious earth (DE)? I don't think they get ringworm and rats would be biting them--not pulling feathers. There are some other diseases that cause red skin. I'll try to look some up.

Hi Irene,

Your little chicken is not looking so good. Can you describe symptoms for us?

1. When you look closely at the skin under the feathers, can you see any little bugs or anything? What color of bugs if you see them? Black? Brown? light color?
2. Are your chickens eating normally?
3. Are your chickens making normal looking poops?
4. Do they have any wounds on them (like rat bites) or is it just the feathers falling out and the sad appearance.
5. Can you take close-up photos?
6. How old are your chickens? What breed are they?

We'll get it figured out and try our best to help you!
Claire
