onewish, I'm definitely no expert, but that looks like one of those cats that eats EVERYTHING! I'd move it somewhere else.... Are those scented geraniums?

yes they WERE

:)

I don't know any butterfly cats that eat geraniums so I'm going to vote moth. I say throw him out in the street!

glad I still have the plants the cuttings came from.... at least I can make more

but after I have seen how fast it's eating ... I might just do that... thanks for your help

Oh your poor SG's!
You could just tell the caterpillar that the plants are greener over in the neighbor's yard and transfer (throw, fling?) it there.
Glad to hear you still have the momma plants.

don't know what SG means.... but I can always put him in the woods behind the house

I'd sling him very far away like I do the tomato hornworms..or squish like I do the Azalea cat. They have really defoliated my azaleas.

I have so much to learn.... had to look the azalea cat up... I never heard of such a thing.. bad critter for sure

Yes, when I saw them a couple of years ago,, I thought they were pretty. I wasn't in to butterflies at the time. Now that I know a little more.. yuk.. I could have stopped their population a little earlier. lol I know why these azaleas weren't as pretty last year.

amazing how something so pretty... can cause so much damage
