CLOSED: Great white heron or great white egret??

I am pretty sure it's an egret, but there are a lot of great blue herons around here so I wanted to be sure it wasn't a white morph

I think you're right, and the dark legs rule out it being a white morph Great Blue Heron.

Very timely posting...I had one fly over last night. So thanks to this I was able to ID and add a new bird to my list! I just didn't get a pic..darn it!
