CLOSED: New yellow bird for me!

Fox Island, WA(Zone 8b)

I'm so excited!! I was out trying to snap photos of a downy woodpecker, and when I focused in on something moving in the tree, I almost dropped the camera when I saw it was something yellow!! My first yellow bird! My first thought was American Goldfinch, then it went to warbler, but after thumbing through my birds of Texas book, I am now thinking it may be a yellow throated vireo! Yay, fall migration has begun!

I agree, a Yellow-throated Vireo. I guess you're on the margin of their breeding range. Great pics, it's hard to get good pics of birds in trees!

I guess that's one good thing about the hurricane.... it cleared out a lot of branches and leaves in the trees, so now it's easier to see stuff

Ditto to Yellow-throated Vireo. Nice one!
