Last Tuesday morning (Sept. 16) we had a bit of excitement at our place. I would like to introduce to all of you "Hannah" (registered name will be "Best of Both Worlds". She is a miniature filly who came into this world at 16 inches in height and approximately 20-25 lbs.

New additon at our funny farm
WOW what a BEEEAUTIFUL little Sweetie Pie I don't believe i've ever seen anything so cute (don't tell my rabbits) Congratulations!!! oh and i get the pleasure of seeing it THANK YOU.
She is so precious! I'm not showing my kids! They'd want one or ten. LOL I keep telling them nothing else we have to feed unless they get their buns in gear and show at the fairs. She is a doll!
Oh my goodness, I am blown away by her cuteness - so adorable. My mini-goat would be jealous. Thank you Harmony for alerting me to this very cute thread! Is the white color horse her mommy? What kind is she?
Yes the "white" horse is her mom. Crystal (mom) is a maximum sabino overo miniature mare who is on the taller side (36 inches at the last mane hairs - that is how they measure). The sire (father) is my little rascal "Jagger" who decided at a year old last year to become a man!!!!! GRRRRR. He is the father to this baby and Jagger is a silver bay tobiano pinto. Now Crystal being a maximum sabino (mostly white with only 3 visible black spots near her mouth and chestnut under her forelock and some black mixed in the tail) carries the color black, bay (from her sire) and white and blue eyes. Basically she hides the wild pattern her sire (father) gave her in her genes but it seems to have come out in this wee one as Hannah has black and white mane and tail and then dark bay and white body. She is a real little spitfire, lol, and doesn't stop running and running. Our dog Fuller thinks this is great having someone to chase him, lol. I don't think Crystal thinks it's so fun having to constantly chase her baby and have her stay close to her.
Hannah's sire, Jagger, is tiny as well 31 inches and I think Hannah will take after him in size and not her mother but time will tell.
I'm in LOVE!
I'm lost but I'm very impressed.
Yes indeed grow you, me and claire we could have us a farm and have all these we desired "can you just see it" any body else want in?
I'm so in. I think I want a miniature horse now. Maybe the mini goat would get along with the mini horse.
Well, c'mon both of yuz and bring the critters. Got 40 acres, no zoning, and am equidistant between yuz.
I know i want a mini Donkey i think he would get along well with the goat and horse.
i'm in, please don't forget me. i love aminals
C'mon up.
on my way. be there in a few
{{{{{{I see a speeding ticket in your future}}}}}}
i hope not!
Jordan Sometimes i forget that your just over the state line in good ole alabama.
harmony, we will have to meet in collinsville soon
Are you native alabamian or a transplanet
aw, i'm transplanted, but don't tell anyone
The transplanets are in the 'bators and brooders, Harmony!! (sorry, I couldn't resist.)lol
I'm transplanted and transplaneted....but hopefully that's OK. I think that's why the government calls me an "alien". LOL!
From my limited experience with minis, they are only small in size. They are full sized in spirit. We had a mini stallion for a while. He kept the barn in an uproar so we had to let him go. We "only" have 11 horses left. LOL How many do you guys have and what do you do with them?
I have 3 mini stallions 3 female minis, 1 mini gelding, 1 straighte egyptian arabian mare and 1 polish arabian mare who will be 32 years young this year and 1 american saddlebred. i have 3 muscovy ducks, 3 ameraucana chickens, 3 cuckoo maran chikens, 4 barn cats, 1 house cat and 1 dog ;-)
Wow, MBShafeena! What an assortment! I am very envious. I have a whole lot of chickens and 8 goats and 1 dog. Not nearly as diversified as you! And I don't know how I missed it before, but now I see you are Canadian. I lived just outside Guelph for 6 years, but raised in Halifax, NS. Moved to Iowa 6 years ago. That's why I'm still an alien! LOL!
You sound like us. We have 4 TWH's, 1 TWH / Percheron X, 1 TWH / RMH X, 1 KY Mountain Pleasure , 1 Painted Racking Pony and her foal, 1 Haflinger and 1 Saddlebred / Appendix mare who is 30+ and will have to be put down this year. We also have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 rabbit, 1 hamster, 1 fighting fish, 1 turtle, 1 salamander, 8 ducks and 13 chickens. Our possum passed away. We really miss her. We show our horses and trail ride them. Most are rescues.
sorry about your possum, cajun.
darling little filly you have, thank you for sharing with us! now we all want one LOL
welcome to Dave's,
tf
