I love Sumatras too and she is so beautiful! Someday, when I can, I would like to have them.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

She's beautiful CC!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Very beautiful!

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Crested...All I can say is WOWWWWWWWW.. She is absolutely lovely...I can see the size very well...they are quite large birds as I was told to expect...

Next question however is...I thought they were supposed to be completely Black...Is she just young?? Showing my ignorance here....
Thank you very much for the requested Pics....Any more you happen to come across, especially a Roo, I will be grateful....

Thats cause she's a BLUE

There is a black with her in one of the pictures
Sumatras come in black or blue
You have to be careful breeding your blues to blacks cause
you can start getting white in the blacks
Thats a big NO NO

I raise both

Mine follow me around everywhere and talk to me. Funny birds. My roo is very friendly.

Those are really lovely birds . What a great tail too on the roo

Love those Sumatras. They have a slightly aggressive look to them but it seems that is just for show! I love the blue ones myself.
