Neem ?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

How often is too often to spray with neem? This has been a terrible year for my hibs; each time I get the broad mites under control something happens and they re-emerge. If I can keep after them every day things are fine but all I have to do is go away for a few days and they are back. Twice recently I had to move them all into a protected spot in preparation for hurricanes that never came this way anyhow. They hated being moved and in retaliation (I am sure LOL) lost many leaves.

I have always kept a manageable number of plants and the insects, when I had any, were easy to control. This year I seem to have imported this bad bug and it has surely bested me. Things are all out of control and I am having to work too hard to keep the plants healthy, that is not fun.

Ltely I have been alternating weeks, frst with Neem and the following week with a dish soap mix. Each day I am spritzing with water, carefully getting the undersides of the leaves. Do you think I could spray more often with the neem - like twice a week?

I'm not sure about how frequently you can use neem safely. If the mites are reappearing immediately I'm thinking that perhaps the mites are on another host plant in the general area that you may not be treating with neem. It could be a plant other than a Hibiscus. I've gone through the scenario you're describing in the past and the only way I was able to break the cycle was to basically spray everything in the area. It worked for me.
