I saw Sandwich hanging out in the nestbox earlier, so I know I had a present waiting for me. I went to pick it up, and there were two! Who would have thought...I always knew Schnitzel was precocious. Here is a picture of her first egg next to Sandwichs'. Schnitzel is a Marans given to me by Catscan, and Sandwich is a Black Jersey Giant.

congratz, i found 2 eggs in the nest this morning, so I now have 2 of my 5 girls laying. So far it is light brown eggs.
Yay!! That outta help keep you from hovering! I've been doing that to mine, I know. Hopefully this means its laying season again.
Got the daintiest little egg yesterday. Hoping it's one of my girls' first. Have two young 'uns that should be laying by now.
sweet, I do know for sure it is not my silver laced phoenix, Hendersons says she would lay whitish egg. And my other 2 girls should also lay brown eggs, they are mutts.
