What I thought was an odd flicker in my previous post ...Resin has ID'd as a Catharus Thrush of some sort. I got some more really bad pics...I only spot this bird at times of the day when lighting is awful!!! I would love to be able to ID this bird for my list!
These are the ones that migrate through my area: Veery, Swainson's, Gray-cheecked, and Hermit. I have not been able to get a good shot of the tail.
These are the pics I got just a bit ago...I will keep trying to get better pics.
CLOSED: Trying to ID Catharus Thrush
Not Veery, too much breast spotting for that. Also not Gray-cheeked, as that doesn't have the fairly prominent eye-ring yours has. That leaves Swainson's and Hermit; tough call between these, I think I'd favour Hermit as the best fit, but not 100% sure on that.
Also try to note down any calls it gives.

I am working on that part too!! Hard to single out the sound tho in any area with lots of birds! lol
Yep, would agree; the tail doesn't look at all rufous here.
Are you sure all the pics are of the same bird, though? I'd not be surprised if several thrushes could be moving through on passage around now.
Resin
No there is no way to know if it is the same bird every shot. No doubt there are several types in the area right now dur to migration. I just have been going to the exact same location everyday. So I may have had them all but don't know it! LOL
