Here is a Hoya biak, upright stem is an original succulant leaves, The one laying on the left side is a new stem full of speckled leaves. I think it's pretty neat!

That's beautiful!

Really neat!!! The original H. sp. Biak must have been grown dry to have the succulent leaves....I grow that hoya and have never seen it with the silver flecks. Interesting!!!!

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

I had seen a photo of sp. Biak with such leaves, so I bought a cutting.
My new growth does *not* have that beautiful mottling!
I so wish it did...yours is beautiful!

It took mine a REALLY long time to grow. Did yours take long?
What conditions are you growing yours in...I want the leaves of mine to look like that! lol!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

That's a really neat looking plant. I love the speckled leaves.

Kelly, Thanks!
Carol, this plant came from you last year. It's finely decided to grow this year and boy I am glad it's sending out these gorgeous leaves. I do keep the plant pretty dry before I water.
Nan, it's first time I saw mottled leaves on H sp biak. It is very slow grower for me too.
I am in zone 10a so the plant gets pretty hot afternoon sun few hours a day but screened in area. The plant dries out fast because it's in a 2" pot at the moment.
Ima, thanks!

Whoa...who wudda thought?

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

The Hoya Biak I have has the speckled leaves too. I got mine from Hanne in Denmark several years ago.

Mine also originates from Denmark (however, not from Hanne) and it gets speckled leaves now and then, but most of them are just plain green and I haven't (yet!) seen any flowers... Grows well though!
