Hi from Salem Oregon!

Hi everyone! I just moved here a few months ago, starting over from scratch, no kidding! this place had zero landscaping, the back yard was nothing but a big patch of dirt full of broken glass and rocks and a few sad weeds...completely bare except for one old tree and something that looks like it may be goat's beard?? anyway, I'm just thankful to have a new piece of ground to play in. I did manage to get some of the lawn planted this summer , now I'm rooting cuttings from here and there, and will be winter sowing lots of gathered seeds...I can hardly wait......it's going to be a lot of work , but I am a woman with a shovel. a compost pile and lots of passion for gardening so .... let the fun begin!!!!

Welcome to Oregon.

We moved here from southern Calif in '91 and never been happier.

Hardiest thing to get used to was the rain for months but after the first year got over that and saw all the beauty.

If you are ever down in Lebanon, come on by and have a cup of tea, pop or coffee

Welcome from south jersey. I have family in Beaverton so have been out there several times. Enjoy your new gardening venue. sounds like you are on the way to beautifying your site. It always amazes me that there can be so many different growing climates in Oregon. Enjoy the beauty that area has to offer.

Welcome from Eugene, we moved here 10 yrs ago and are still in the process.LOL Things never seem to get done or they just change a lot. We've had the strangest summer on record I think and I for one am anxious for it to be done and over with. Time to start anew! You're going to have lots of fun. Lucky you....a blank canvas.
