Yep, had to take her to the vet yesterday because she ate a live tree frog. She came in from outside and I thought the cats were making their strange noises and the cats were noplace around so I picked up Rosey and her belly was screaming!
The screaming stopped on the way to the vet.
The vet induced vomiting but only some bloody mucus came out... so they said feed her rice with her food to help move it through her system.
She got it out of her system last night on our walk. Amazing! She acted like nothing was wrong the whole time, even after they gave her medicine to make her try to vomit the thing out. She's an amazing little pooch.
Vet said dogs often eat toads and frogs in the wild and that her system can probably handle it and that she has probably eaten them before but bit them before she swallowed. Yikes.
WOW, what an interesting life with this little dog.
