Does anyone have a picture of a Tacca seedling? I would sure hate to baby these 4 seedlings and find out they are a weed of some kind.

Thanks, great link for pictures. I believe mine are Tacca integrifolia. Not weeds.
Good luck with you taccas. They sound like a neat challenge.
They are beautiful so I hope they will grow for me.
dylan, did you start yours from seeds. I have some seeds and I need instruction on how to germinate them.
I sat mine out about 8 weeks ago in 1/2 of a milk jug with seed starting mix in the shade. I threw water at it when I thought about it and mainly it was on its own. The temps were about 90* to almost 100* with heat indexes of 105* or better for the first 3-4 weeks. It was also VERY humid at the time. I planted 10 seeds and so far 4 have germinated. I have moved the milk jug in for the winter so we'll see if I can keep it going. I usually kill stuff in the seedling stage. I forget to water them or drown them or something.
I am trying another batch in the house in a pot with seed starting media in a bag. I started them about 2-3 weeks ago. It does have bottom heat from a digital converter box for the tv. It is not in the shade but across the room from the window.
I am not the one to ask about starting difficult seeds because mine either live or die in spite of what I do to them.
I tell people my poor plants have to either sink or swim by themselves, because I don't know much about horticulture.
OK. Thanks.
