ID?

This little bird was sitting on my porch, must have had a close encounter with our window. Couldn't find it in my bird book. Would sure like to know what it is. It is about the size of a chickadee

Yes, It is. Thank you so much. I have never seen one before. I found it now in a book and it says it's commom, but I missed them.
Correction: I found a life list I kept in the 70s and it was on it. Guess that proves to me that I don't remember what happened 30 years ago AND last week. Not good. lol

Yes, I've been looking for him again, but no luck. Resin said he's probably a one year old male, not a juvie from this year.
