I've had a WEBTV or a MSN2 for abt 20 years. I loved my WEBTV but after microsoft bought out WEBTV and came up with MSN2 i got that one. MSN2 got worse and worse (both equipment and tech service) seemed like i was spending more time off line then on. Had troubles again this week. Finally MSN2 just died. So-o-o have decided to make the plunge for the real thing. Am completely computer ignorant and lost as a goose.
Here's what i want. 1- e-mail capable. 2- picture download and upload.
3- flash 8 capable. 4 - Is it Browse? capable. (i love to google all kinds of things) 5 - Going to DG is a must. 6 - reading world wide newspapers a must. 7 - enough memory to save some favorites. viewing video clips would be nice, but can live without. That is all i do online and all i care about doing. Also i have only dial up (live in National Forest).Am considering getting Morning Star satilite. If i do that i will cancil my land phone and get a cell phone.
Money? Not the cheapest but just above that, as i'm on a fixed income. If it's really necessary will go higher. Thats why i came to you . Have read most of your recent threads and respect your opinions and also realize they will be varied. but thats ok too as i'll learn what different computers offer.
Sounds like a big order and i'll appreciate any input you can offer.
