Happy Labor Day Everyone

I've been unpacking file boxes nearly all weekend and moving the studio which, apparently, will be a continuing work in progress.

Took a break late this afternoon to walk through the orchard. The trees are full but the apples are not 'store-bought' quality...taste great to me tho. Admired the fat, butter yellow pears...until I bit into one. Poor things are tasteless and mealy. Pulled out one of my garden references and discovered that I should have picked them green and let them ripen off the tree...well, live and learn. Does anyone have any ideas how I might doctor up the over-ripe pears?

Mary, your endurance rides never cease to amaze me! EvaMae, your homeplace reminds me so much of mine...fixing one thing leads to something else and then some.

Looks like a storm is brewing up here so I'd better go. Tomorrow is back to the City day (3 days this week...but I'm counting the blessing of having a job.
