Little Gemini, my CH polydactyl calico who's not yet 2, peed blood on the kitchen floor so I took her to the vet today. The vet wasn't able to get urine from her, so she's there until she can generate some and I'll pick her up tonight.
But the vet felt a stone, said that the urine test will tell what kind of stone it is. If it's it's struvite, we mind be able to get it dissolved with diet (not sure I'd want her to have to suffer through until it was gone). Otherwise (and this is most likely) it will be $1,000 for surgery. Ouch!!
Keep the little girl in your thoughts. It sounds like she's pretty uncomfortable these days, but you wouldn't have known it from any of her other behavior.
