This is a large plant, 2 years old. Just ending it's blooming and would like to trade for white tall sedum, evergreens, crape myrtles, suggest something -

NO: daisy, seeds, black eyed susan, tropicals, houseplants, - you get the idea. I really want to get out of the perennial phase and hit the rose, clematis, shrub phase.

Kathy,

I will be trimming my New Dawn Climber as soon as the weather cool down, if you are interested in cuttings, please Dmail me. I can send for shipping if you'd like. You can choose First Class or Priority, it will be up to you. I will ship as soon as I cut. I don't like to leave cuttings out for too long after cutting.

Hey Kathy,

I have some roses, but I am not sure that digging and mailing them now would be a very good idea.

If you sill have the lobelia come January or so, let me know (I could probably meet you along I81 in Roanoke for an even bigger swap if you want.) I usually go to Lexington in late Winter/early Spring every year.

Jones,
Which rose might you have to trade?

I would like established plants, roses, and really don't want 'perennials'.

Are you saying that you do not want roses?

To answer your question, the rose in question was purchased from Wayside gardens some time ago (15 years, I would guess). It is very similar to this rose :

http://www.waysidegardens.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10151&langId=-1&mainPage=LGprodview&ItemId=20725&PrevMainPage=textsearchresults&scChannel=Text%20Search&SearchText=rose&OfferCode=VH3

But, the blooms are white but more in the 1 inch to 2 inch width (definitely not 4 inches). I'm sorry that I do not have the name, but I lost it over the years. It grows fairly quickly and roots where the stems hit the ground. I have created a fairly impressive hedge at one of my rental houses in about 4 years, using these rooted stems. About 35 feet long, 8' wide and 10' high in some instances. They bloom pretty much from early Summer til Frost (still blooming now.) I have found it is best to transplant them in March.

But, if roses do not interest you, can you give me an example of a plant that would? What kind of Sun/soil?

Edit: forgot to mention that this rose does NOT get blackspot or the other rose diseases. It is very hardy.
