Robert - here's hoping that all goes well & you heal quickly.

By the way, going to Gordon's next Saturday, which isn't too far from you. Do you need any assistance in your garden while you're recovering?

Thank you for all your good wishes. Sitting in that clunky recliner in the cc unit for seven days was the pits. But now at home, with my bride and fur kids, even if I can't work in the garden I can walk in it, smell it and feel it. You all know how good it feels to have the opportunity to walk in your garden. I'd like to go to Gordon's on the 20th but am only up to doing four minute walks so far. Perhaps next time. The garden is pretty well "put away" for the year with tender ones resting in the sunroom. The Peruvian daffodils did very well for their first year.

When I mention the help, caring and thoughtfulness of the DG folks to my non-gardening friends they are amazed.Thank you again for your thoughtfulness.

So glad you're back online and getting up and around.

When my dad was recovering from heart surgery he was supposed to get up every 20 minutes and walk around, but for no more than a few minutes at a time. Poor guy was on a strict do something/do nothing schedule, which drove him crazy on both counts. But that was 20 years ago and their handiwork was fabulous; he's felt great every since.

Hope you are soon back in your garden enjoying the rain . . . and be sure and let us know if you need any help. I'd be more than happy to come up for a few hours one weekend and take care of any winterizing you need done . . .

Robert,
So glad to hear that you are at home with your loved ones and are enjoying your garden.

Thank you for the good wishes. DW walked me through the garden yesterday, and being in the garden, even if it isn't to work, and having my bride with me is the best possible medicine. Come Spring I think next year may be the one in which I have the garden as "finished" as it will ever be. Time then for a party.

Tyler, what a handsome feller you are.

Robert, It is great to hear the good news that you have come through the surgery and are on the way to recovery at home where your family and garden can help you heal. Take care.

Thanks Kathy, for being your wonderful self and keeping tabs on the important things in life, like when your friends are having surgery or going through tough times, and offering recognition and support.

Aw Holly, if it was up to me, we'd share a little coop with properties close by so we could keep tabs on one another . . .

I was so fortunate to meet Robert and his wonderful wife and get the gift of some plants from his garden. I feel like we're family and I'm raising some of his kids!!!
