Do you grow this hoya, and have you been able to get it to bloom? I have a huge plant - but no sign of peduncles or anything. I've had it probably 3 or 4 years, treat it like my others - it gets MSU fertilizer, south light. It grows fantastically - I've taken many cuttings from this plant. It's easy to root......just won't bloom!? Anyone have any luck getting it to bloom, and if so, what's your secret??

Nice plant Karen! Wow, that's a biggie. I don't have that particular hoya but I'm wondering if you could give it a shot of bloom booster the next time you feed it? I sometimes use 11-35-15 Orchid Bloom Booster on mine but I've heard some say that is not necessary for hoyas. I just figured I'd give em' a little "treat". Hasn't seemed to hurt.

Karen...mine was a blooming fool...I let it hang from a pot. It got tons of bright light - really really bright without direct sun. You might try growing it a bit drier between waterings?

The pot looks too large to me. Maybe its still growing its roots to fill the pot, and won't bloom until it does. A friend of mine, despite my scolding, planted carnosa cuttings in a deep14 inch pot. Despite otherwise perfect conditions, it took 8 years for that plant to bloom.

I think you guys are right - I'm going to repot to a smaller pot. Thanks!

The photo might fool me, but are the leaves small and kind of thick?

To me the plant looks more like picta / puber (or whatever they call it): http://www.myhoyas.com/Hoya%20picta%20hela.htm

Huh, funny, it looks plenty big enough to bloom. I go along with more light.
