I put in a new garden for my daughter in Katy Texas this spring. Is there anything she needs to do for it to survive the hurricane?

If there are any containers or pots in her garden, she should bring them inside. Some people just tip their containers over if they're really heavy. Any garden decor that might be hanging from trees or peeking out between flowers should come in, too.
Other than that, really, Katy is far enough inland that they aren't going to see any storm surges or any of the most devastating parts of a hurricane. She does need to be aware of potential tornadoes spun off from the storm, of course.
And prayer is always good! :-)
