Thank you, Hayu! ^_^

Katy, TX(Zone 8b)

Thank you to all who have offered to help us out. We prefer to stay put if at all possible. From experience I can say that nothing, it seems, is worse than coming back to your place and finding it "rearranged".

Been up periodically through the night, checking for information. I suppose most of you are without power now. But hoping you are all safe and dry.

Ozone, AR(Zone 6a)

DD in Kilgore said her electricity has been off most of day. Guess it must be wide spread. She said some trees were down but was not as bad as predicted.
Stay safe everyone

I finally have power. It came on about 2:00 pm today. We were blessed....we did not get any water in the house, the large oak limbs fell in the yard and not on the house, plus there was no damage to the house from the wind.

We were without power for 8 1/2 days, but that was more of an inconvenience than a hardship. Our generous neighbor shared his generator with us. We didn't have A/C or lights, but we did have a refrigerator and freezer. Again we were blessed...instead of it being steamy hot after the hurricane, a cool front came in on Sunday or Monday which made sleeping without A/C a lot easier.

I am in the Houston area and there are still people without power, my daughter included. She should get power by Thursday.

Thanks for all of your prayers,

So glad for you. I have a fit if mine is out 2 hours. Guess I could tolerate it if I were forced to.

Thanks for the update. It is no fun to be without power - bless those who work so hard to get it back for us!! Let's hope this is the last hurricane of this season.
