I bought this at a farmers market in Spain, I think the Spanish man who sold it to me for 1euro said it was from the Aubergine family but I can't find it anywhere. It is one metre in length

Cuccuzzi, better to fry than eggplant when smaller... at that size, I would cube and add to spaghetti & it will disintergrate, but improve the sauce flavor... or just leave it in the closet 'till it's bone dry & all will be left is good seeds to plant rattling inside.
