Catscan brought the tractor, feed bin, a bag of feed, shade cloth, and I'm just beside myself this morning with joy!
Here is the area we are going to fence for them.. This whole east side of the garden area is going to be dedicated to chickens!!!
I have spent the morning sitting out there with them, bringing them various goodiez from the garden...
Prince talks to me!!!!!! He lets me stroke his back.. he looks me right in the eye when I talk soft to him... Oh I'm hopelessly in love....
Upity could care less still... but Sage will come over and talk a little..

looks liek the CF struck again, you sound love-struck... it is possible that Prince is either half BA of half Buckeye. time will tell with another feather molt. body shape will also tell, Buckeyes are more boxy...

I really like that chicken tractor what are the dimentions of that and what size is the PVC.
I like it i could use that for my over flow and who knows how big i could get it maybe house like OH sorry thinking out loud CAT you got me!!!!
shoot girl, just run to home depot and get ones that fit together. i remember her telling me it went together pretty easily...
my DH can't do anything easily. he snatched up some trampoline frames, and made a chicken "ring". hasn't finished the roof yet, but he tried it out with the toddler [human] and it seemed to work fine LOL. it needs shade, and better acces to put feed and water in...
I'm making another one with 3/4" pvc... I had plans somewhere to build one with a door and all... I will post pics as it is completed.
I tried to get close up pics.. but will have to wait till the sun goes down a little..
Upity is getting a name change.. He will be PeppySan... I'm using Quarter Horse influenced names.. He already looks at me every time I say Peppy are you Peppy? LOL
Sage is gonna be offically O'Sage..
Prince is just so majestic.. his name fits perfect.

I got home from HD getting chicken wire and couldn't find my son! He is ALWAYS on the computer! I finally went out to put the chicken wire in the garden area... here he was.. cramped in a ball in the chicken tractor with our new roos!!!!! My son is 15 and 6'2" tall sitting on a makeshift roost in a 36" tractor.. LOL I should have gotten my camera, but he threatened me if I did.. LOL
That makes us both chicken heads then doesn't it??????? LOL

Hes standing in front of one of my pens chicken in hand talking sweet chicken talk to them.
The minute i walk up he clears his throat and says i told you little chicken not to come out that door!!
That is hilarious Harmony! Sounds like Cody for sure! When I came in last night.. he was laying on the couch with one of the chicks on his chest.. he was trying to talk to me but laughing with his mouth shut hard... the chick will peck his teeth every time he tried to talk!
