I was reading about the top 5 registry cleaners and all the promises of how they will improve my system. Since they offered a free scan I decided to try the one that was listed as "the best" by several different sites. It found over 1200 problems and fixed 1. To fix the rest I would have to purchase the program. It is only about 30 dollars but I simply can't afford that right now.
Is there a decent free way to clean up the registry? And is it safe for a novice like myself to do so? Could I really have that many errors or problems and my computer still be functioning?
