I have a couple of Hawk photos taken recently that I would like to be positively identified.
This photo was taken on 8/31/08, at 850mm.
CLOSED: Hawk ID
I'd say all three Red-tailed Hawks; second, and probably also the first, are immatures.
Resin
Take this with a grain of salt b/c I just started birding.
1. I'm not sure about the first but it looks like there is streaking in the breast.
2. I'm guessing "Red-shouldered" b/c of the translucent area near the end of the wings and the breast is streaked.
3. Has no breast streaking suggesting "Red-tailed". From what I'm seeing only a couple of hawks have a plain/pale breast.
Just my thoughts and please correct me if I am wrong.
Tony
